About the Inventor Dr. Mark T. Wood

Dr. Wood was born in Springfield, Ohio, USA. He attended Hiram College and in 1964, at the age of 22, left the USA, relinquished his American citizenship and became a citizen of Sweden. There after studies in Stockholm and Uppsala, in 1970 he graduated from the University of Uppsala, with a Master’s Degree in Psychology. He then moved to New Zealand, where he lived and worked for five years.

While there he acquired the Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Waikato. His doctoral dissertation was on Genetic Antecedents of Altruism: A Comparative Analysis. Dr. Wood moved to Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia, in 1976 to lecture in Behavioural Science at the University of Southern Queensland and later lectured in Developmental Psychology at the University of New England in Armidale, NSW. Dr. Wood has published scientific papers, including publications in the Journal of General Psychology and Animal Behaviour. He has been a member of a number of Australian, New Zealand, and Swedish professional societies.

 

Dr Wood retired from active service as a Psychologist, in October 2013.

He now concentrates on inventing mind developing puzzles and games.
